2012 Goals:)

Alright. After reading a couple of my friends blogs I got inspired to jot down a few goals for this year. I normally am not a fan of resolutions since they normally consist of losing weight or something overly general like "don't get stressed out"  and nothing ever comes of them. So here are a few things I want to work on... I'm sure you're like "Ok. Good for you but why do I need to know your goals?" Well funny you should ask. You can help keep me accountable. Ask me how my goals are going! Anyways, here a just a few for this glorious year!

Family
Set aside the chores and have one-on-one "in their world" time with Sienna and Scarlett individually everyday.
Help Sienna learn 20 sight words
Every other week take one of the girls on their own special outing
Pray at dinner every night
Try to have a date night weekly (let Hubby pick the movie sometimes :) )

Personal
Run at least three times a week
Set time aside to spend with extended family
Write on the blog weekly

So I'm sure there are many other things I want to focus on but I'm drawing a blank... Here are my little cuties in action!

We went to Dallas a couple weekends ago and went to the Dallas aquarium where the girls had a blast!

First Day of Preschool

Today was a big day for our little Sienna. She started preschool today. Ok so maybe it's just a two day mother's day out program but still...She has been so excited for weeks and the icing on the cake was when her teacher called yesterday to tell me that her first day would be pajama day. She about jumped for joy when she found out that not only did she get to wear pjs but slippers too and bring a flash and stuffed animal. Her idol (Fancy Nancy) has a book about PJ day at school which we had to read of course. Last night, Hubby and I looked like we were preparing her for her first day of Kindergarten. We were running around setting out her things, labeling everything and reminding her not to forget her jacket on the playground. Wow, just typing that make me a little embarrassed of how over protective we might be....
She was great though! She was so excited and never shed a single tear. When I picked her up she said her favorite part was nap time (Just like her Mom!) and when I asked her what she learned she said "I taught the other kids how to chew with their mouths closed." Grrrreeat! I'm sure the teacher's love that one...I'm so proud of her and can't wait to see what new experiences preschool will bring!

Jessica and JR's wedding

Ok last post of the day... I just had to say a little something about my sister's wedding! So if you have been on Facebook, you know there are about a trillion pictures posted from that awesome night so I'm not going to repost them:) But I did want to say how it was amazing to watch my sweet baby sister wake up as a girl who was about to get married, get transformed into a beautiful bride and then walk down the isle and into a reception of friends and family as a wife! I was so honored to help with every detail and amazed at how perfectly everything turned out. A couple of my favorite random parts of the wedding (besides seeing her walk down the isle of course!) were:

The pride Sienna felt as she was the perfect flower girl.
The mini meltdown during the reception when Jessica's eyelash was coming off. hehe
When a vase broke on a table and Hubby and I look at each other and walked in the opposite direction of the chaos (Sorry Jess, not our classiest moment...)
And at the very end of the night, hearing JR refer to Jess as his wife.
I feel terrible that I don't have one to post of the groom too.

Why can't I always be this tan? Ah the magic of spray tan...

On a side note, fortunately Hubby waited til the day after to split open his forehead with the car door. The present gash and knot would have given the photographer extra photo shopping work:) Too bad Super Hubby did this the morning of his birthday. Not the best start to the day but hopefully he felt it got better after some PF Changs.

And now on to a new year! Whew, I wonder what 2012 will bring the Koller's?

Christmas!

Ok I'll make this short and sweet. We had so much fun with all of my family and the girls got spoiled rotten by Santa and all their grand parents! Sienna was so fascinated by the whole Santa thing it just made it that much more memorable. Here are few shots of the two luckiest girls ever...

Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year Folks!! Sorry I have not posted in a while. This month has been busy and I didn't know how to top my last post about my crazy photography skills:) So....

Our Christmas festivities began very early when we traveled to Dallas the second week of December to celebrate with all the Kollers/ODells. I love going this early because it makes the whole month feel like Christmas and we can enjoy our time together instead of worrying about where we are rushing off to next. The weekend was full of laughter and smiles but my two favorite memories were finding out that Shanna (my SIL) is expecting their first child! Woohoo! We are so happy for the adorable couple and I can't wait to go to NYC to meet the new angel in July. And the other thing I just loved was watching the kids and uncles play at Texie's house as we celebrated our "Christmas Eve" dinner. At one point,  cousin Zach discovered a basket of "antique" hair curlers and just listening to him and Sienna trying to figure out what they were for was hilarious!
