Cousins!!

Sienna and Gabe (Sienna told Hubby tonight "Gabe got a haircut to look like Justin Beiber)

"Ok Zach, you play the piano and I'll dance."

Who needs legos when you have cups?

This was right after Sienna kissed Zach (aka Zach-attack as she refers to him)
Over the weekend we took a short trip to visit Grammy in Dallas. At the beginning of the drive, Hubby asked if I would ever consider flying up there instead. At the time I thought that was a silly idea because "This is really a short drive and not too bad..." An hour outside of Dallas I was eating my words. Scarlett was screaming and Sienna was yelling at Scarlett to stop crying. After many deep breaths and several Justin Beiber songs later, we made it. Seeing Sienna run as fast as she could to Grammy's front door made up for the car ride melt downs and we had a fabulous weekend.

Teddy Bear Picnic and the BFF sisters

The girls and I went on a Teddy Bear picnic with our playgroup. It was so cute! They made crafts, listened to stories, ate snacks and played with their teddy bears. I was proud of both my girls for getting  so involved. Ok I was proud of Sienna. Scarlett doesn't know that their is a world outside of "whatever Sienna is doing".

OH THE BFFs

The girls really had me laughing tonight. They have started just looking at each other and laughing (which makes me smile just thinking about it) Once Sienna gets Scarlett going it gets really silly. Sienna was convince Scarlett was chasing her around the house. Scarlett would crawl a few feet and Sienna would go running and laughing while screaming "She's going to get me!" Of course this had Scarlett laughing....Ah, they should sell that sound "children/baby laughing" Too sweet.

Friends, Fun and Falls

Friends
After living in our cozy cottage for about 8 months now, the girls and I got our act together and had over some of our playgroup friends. Even though I have known these sweet Mommies and kids for over a year now, I still get overly concerned about the cleanliness of the house, snacks, enough toys, yada yada... Of course as soon as the first friend stepped in the door none of that mattered. They were all so sweet and Sienna was the perfect host. She even took deep breaths when her princesses were not being played with "the right way". As soon as everyone left, she started planning the next play date. "We can play dress up, bounce in my bounce house and um what do you think mom?" she said as she used the restroom. Scarlett loved all the action too.

Fun
Besides the obvious fun we had with our play date buddies, the girls and I have had so much fun together. I am enjoying living in the moment with my ladies. They are just growing too fast! Scarlett is sleeping through the night and crawling which I feel bittersweet about. Sienna is making connections with reading and has Bieber Fever. I just want to push pause and play in Sienna's room with the two girls forever...Sigh

I know. I know. It's cheese that I have them matching and posing.

"Look Mom, I have a beard and mustache!"

Falls
Ok I'm only posting this because she is fine and we happened to capture in on camera. Let me just start with yes this was my idea. I take responsibility.... Check out this sequence of events.
"Ok here take a picture of Scarlett sitting with Sienna."

"Ah look! She is sitting there by herself!"

"Ahh!! Catch her!" Sadly we did not and she slipped under the table. She is ok folks!!

On the move

Well I think I can officially say Scarlett is crawling! Since she would not let me out of her sight without screaming, she figured out she could get to me faster if she was crawling. Oh boy I'm going to have my hands full. Sienna is already fed up since Scarlett can now mess with her more.

Scarlett's First Word!!

Scarley said her first word yesterday!! Dada, Dada, Dada!!!

Yesterday, Scarlett started making all these new babble sounds and out came "Dada". Sienna and I were so excited. Sienna kept saying "She is saying little words!" I don't know what was cuter, Scarlett enthusiastically trying new sounds or Sienna being so proud of her.  Of course I knew Hubby would never believe me, but sure enough, when he got home she said it clear as day. Yay Scarlett!

Here are a couple shots from us enjoying our gorgeous afternoon:)

Oh how I love you! Let me count the ways...

In honor of V-Day I thought I would share some things I loved about the past few days! HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE!

Hubby, I love that you marry the letters "Q" and "U" around this time so that the students understand that they always go together.

Sienna, I love that you put on your big girl pants and braved the Mickey Mouse at a friend's birthday party. He knew better than to come more than five feet from you thanks to the death stare you were giving him.

Scarlett, I love that you love any type of social gathering. The crazier the better. You little party animal!

Sienna, I love that you have Bieber Fever even though I have no idea how you know who he is. This was her face when he came on the Grammy's. Oh boy!

Sienna, I love that when opening your ridiculous amount of Valentine's gifts you said " I love my Balentine Birthday! This is what I always wanted my whole special life! Oh this is fabulous! Mom, that means beautiful!"

Scarley, I love that you have mastered the sign for more and have everyone wrapped around your tiny finger when you sign "more" for rocking to sleep and playing.

I love that you love to help me bake. You do a great job reading the "menu" (aka directions) to me.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! This day holds a special day in my heart since Hubby proposed on this day 9 years ago. AWWW! I was surprised this evening to open the front door to pizza, flowers, wine and gossip magazines. He knows me too well:)
Hubby's Candy and Tooth paste bouquet that we delivered to his school today. I looks like he has a dental hygiene problem but I just figured that since he talks to so many people...LOL

Tiny Chairs for Mommy and Daddy food

Quick post....While eating snack Sienna just said "I'm going to put tiny chairs in my stomach so that the Mommy and Daddy food can sit down and more can fit." This is the size of the chairs she was explaining to me:) What a crazy girl!

Happy Happy Birthday on your special day....

My first day of 1st grade

Well my dreaded 30th birthday came and was FANTASTIC! My hubby surprised me with a trip to San Antonio for the weekend with my amazing family and friends. We first stopped at The River Pub in San Marcos where we went to college and enjoyed a yummy lunch on the San Marcos River. We were so blessed with beautiful weather since it had snowed the day before.... After a short trip to the outlet mall, we headed to the River Walk in San Antonio. I felt like a queen staying in the new Embassy Suites on the River. We had a blast eating out, going to bars, walking the river walk  and dancing!! When we got home, the girls, Mark and I enjoyed a quiet day at home for one last celebration.

**Warning** Mushy Post
Up until my birthday, I was so worried about getting older and losing my 20's but now I have realized that I would never trade what I have now for my 20's. I can't believe how lucky I am to have so many friends that I truly love spending time with and a huge family that makes me feel special on a daily basis. It's not about the "things" I have but instead it's the moments that make you laugh and smile and maybe even cry. So bring on the mom jeans and Mickey Mouse sweat shirts, I'll sport them with a smile! I'm excited about my 30's and all the moments that make me who I am.

Thank you for making this such a special birthday for me!!

My amazing family (Dallas and Philly, I love you too!!)
