Busy, Busy, Busy

Whew! I don't even know when I posted last... These girls are keeping me BUSY! As I posted earlier, Scarlett is walking! She still crawls about half the time but it's pretty funny when she gets going. In the last week, she has started imitating things she is seeing. She will pick up anything, put it to her ear and say "Eh?" (which I assume is Hey) She also plays with babies and pushes her toy stroller. I just want her to stay a baby forever. No more of this growing up stuff. Sienna is becoming a little negotiator. If we ask her to do something, she will explain her well thought out idea of what she would like to do instead.

We have been swimming and splashing a lot lately and the girls are little mermaids. The girls are going to be so fun this summer especially with Hubby off in a couple weeks. I can't wait!!

Baby Shower
Last weekend I got a chance to be creative and make a couple things for my dear friend's baby shower. It was nice to get my crafty fix:)

 Gymnastics
Sienna has been taking gymnastics since January and is loving it. Over the summer she will take an evening class so Hubby can take her and watch.
Haha Look at that hair

 Wedding Bells
Last night, we attended my sweet cousin Lisa's wedding. It was so fun to see all the family so gussied up and having fun. The last wedding that we were all at together was mine and Hubby's so it's been a while. Hubby and I attempted to dance but ended up laughing to hard because we seemed like clumsy fools. I guess we had an off night... Fun times:)

look at this beautiful couple!

Scarlett's First Steps!!

weekend skinny dipping:)
Our little Scarley has been cruising around the furniture but today she took several steps on her own! What was her motivation? I turned around to see her walking to Sienna's barbie house of course. It's too cute to see her sense of pride when we all cheer for her. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Things are going to get really interesting once she is confidently walking. She still seems too little. I just need both of the girls to quit growing so fast....

Mother's Day

So this post is way over due! Even though Mother's Day was a week ago, it's never too late to express my gratitude right? Above all, I have to say thanks to my Mom for teaching me how to love unconditionally and not to take yourself or the world too seriously. Donna, thank you for raising such a compassionate son. I am inspired by your strong sense of self and your endless patience with my Hubby:) To all the other mamas in my life, everyone of you is a valuable part of my sanity! Shopping, laughing, drinking wine, gossiping and who knows what else, would be no fun without you!

Ok enough of the Mother's Day acceptance speech...(I can just imagine myself standing at a podium blubbering those words) We went to Dallas to visit Hubby's family and to celebrate Mother's Day. The girls had a blast (as always...) and I was very pampered by Hubby and his Mama. I can't believe I have been blessed with two amazing little girls who make me smile constantly. I love being a mom and if it wasn't so socially unacceptable, I think I would have 10 kids. Anyways, Happy Belated Mother's Day to everyone!

10 months!

Smiley Scarly is 10 months old today! She is going to be a year old in a blink of an eye. She is pulling up and standing on her own but only for a short time. I'm in no rush for her to walk but I guess we'll just see. She likes to tell people hi and 'yells' at Sienna all day long. Recently, she has been sleeping through the night and doesn't wake up until after Sienna and I have breakfast. I could go on and on about all of her 'baby accomplishments' but I wont.... We just love her so much and are so blessed to have her "toothy" smile brighten our day!

Mermaids, Princesses and Fairies! Oh my!

This was a 'magical' week for us where all of our princess dreams came true! Well Sienna's at least:) The girls and I had so much fun seeing all our friends this week for different playdates and had a blast with Grammy who came in for a quick visit.

Little Mermaids
Scarlett experienced the pool for the first time this week. Even though she loves the bath she was not as enthusiastic about the pool. The chilly water might have been a factor... She loved watching Sienna, the fish swim, around the pool with her floaties on. I was a little unsure of what it would be like to manage two kids a pool but they were both great. I can't wait for our next swim playdate!

Thanks for sharing your pool Jackson!
Princesses On Ice
This was a big weekend for Sienna because we went to see Princesses on Ice. I think we have been counting down the days since March. We took her this time last year too and she still talks about it. She was SO excited. She wore her Cinderella princess dress and ate a gallon of popcorn as she fell in love with the princesses and princes over and over again. Besides her never fading smile there are a few things I'll never forget...When I took her to the bathroom during the finale of the show she said "I have to hurry so I can go back and sing with the princesses!" "Prince Phillip looked like Justin Bieber." and when Grammy went to get her a souvenir she passed on all the princess garb and chose a sword that lit up so she could "light the way" to the bathroom, her bedroom, our bedroom and on and on...

A Royal Thank You to all the family that helped us make this day so special for Sienna. Next year I'm sure Scarlett will be clapping along with us.

I swear little hearts were coming out of her eyes!

Fun with Grammy

The Garden Fairy
So one of my Princess Dreams came true too! This afternoon, we came back from a delicious lunch with Grammy to find that my amazing Dad and brother had redone our front garden. If you have been to my house then you know that the previous owners had planted every sharp, spiky and dangerous type of plant in front of our house. Every time Sienna would stumble by the huge cactus I would jump. Well almost a year later, the Garden Fairy came and granted my landscaping wish!! When Sienna saw it she said "Oh...my....goodness! We have new flowers! Can I smell them?" Yay! Thanks Garden Fairy!
Before (the only pic I had was from a snow day...)

After (These beauties are going to grow into a lush garden)

pretty tree mulch too:)
